1. Privacy at a Glance

General Information

The following gives a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to personally identify you. Detailed information on data protection can be found in the privacy policy set out below this text.

Data Collection on This Website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. Their contact details can be found in the "Notice concerning the responsible party" section of this privacy policy.

How do we collect your data?
Your data is collected, on the one hand, from information you provide to us — for example, your e-mail address when you sign up for the early-access notification. Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website, primarily technical data (e.g., browser type, operating system, time of page access).

What do we use your data for?
Some data is collected to ensure the website is provided without errors. Your e-mail address is used exclusively to notify you about the launch of TruthLoop.

What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right, at any time, to obtain information free of charge about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data, as well as a right to rectification or deletion. You may withdraw any consent given at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

2. Hosting

We host the content of our website with the following provider: Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA.

This website is hosted externally. Personal data collected on this website is stored on the servers of the hosting provider. This may include, in particular, IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, as well as website access data.

External hosting serves the purpose of fulfilling our contractual obligations toward potential and existing customers (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and is in our legitimate interest in a secure, fast, and efficient provision of our online offering by a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Data transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses; Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Details: netlify.com/privacy.

Cloudflare

We use the "Cloudflare" service. The provider is Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare offers a globally distributed content delivery network with DNS, and acts as a filter between our servers and potentially malicious traffic from the internet. Its use is based on our legitimate interest in a reliable and secure provision of our online offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Details: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Storage Duration

Unless a more specific storage period has been stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. Upon a legitimate request for deletion or withdrawal of consent, your data will be deleted, unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing it (e.g., statutory retention periods).

Recipients of Personal Data

We only pass on personal data to external parties if this is necessary for the performance of a contract, if we are legally obliged to do so, if we have a legitimate interest in the disclosure, or if another legal basis permits the transfer. When using processors, we only pass on data on the basis of a valid data processing agreement.

Withdrawal of Your Consent to Data Processing

You may withdraw consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of any data processing carried out prior to your withdrawal remains unaffected.

Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged violation.

For security reasons, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https://" in your browser's address bar.

4. Data Collection on This Website

Server Log Files

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in server log files: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of the server request, and IP address. This data is not combined with data from other sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation of the website).

Early-Access Sign-Up (Form)

If you sign up via the form on this page to be notified about the launch, we collect your e-mail address. We use it exclusively to notify you, on a one-time basis, about the availability of TruthLoop. We do not pass it on to third parties for advertising purposes.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future, e.g., by e-mail to info@truthloop.de. Your data will be deleted once the purpose no longer applies (launch notification sent, or withdrawal of consent).

Processors: For the technical handling of the form, we use Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA, and Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. A data processing agreement with Netlify and Cloudflare is a precondition for compliant use.

Google Fonts

This website uses Google Fonts for a consistent display of typefaces, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you access this page, your browser loads the required fonts directly from Google's servers, whereby your IP address is transmitted to Google. This is done on the basis of our legitimate interest in a consistent and visually appealing presentation of our online offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Further information on Google Fonts is available at developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Inquiries by E-mail, Phone, or Fax

If you contact us by e-mail, phone, or fax, your inquiry — including all resulting personal data (name, request) — will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided your inquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary for pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), where such consent was requested; consent may be withdrawn at any time.

Data you send to us via contact inquiries remains with us until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular statutory retention periods — remain unaffected.
